About Zocalo
Chef/Owners Mary & Greg Russell, having a combined 30 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, decided that now was the time to bring their love of Mexican cuisine and culture to the Philadelphia area.
Mary and Greg RussellZocalo is located in University City, in Philadelphia, PA. Sun-colored walls with hand carved artwork, ceramic masks and authentic figurines give our dining rooms a warm, comfortable feel.
The focal point of the dining areas, however, are the amazing hand painted chairs which depict traditional Mexican pueblo scenes.
The food at Zocalo is not outdone by the decor. Authentic regional dishes and modern Tex-Mex originals are prepared with precision and passion, using only the freshest ingredients. The menu consists of an array of dishes from central and southern Mexico, served with a modern flair. And all of the sauces and salsas are made from scratch.
